Can we play yet? by TornFeathers Can we play yet? by TornFeathers
Impatiently waiting for me to finish working so I can take a break and play.

In a picture I posted a few days ago I explained about the imprinted Kestrel we got in.
His name is officially Luke now. My idea for a name was chosen.
He will forever fight the dark side.

We're waiting on the permits to keep him as a teaching bird so he lives in ICU where he gets human interaction. He is extremely social. He will be an amazing teaching bird and fantastic for outreach. He already has people hooked into wanting to know more about raptors.

*note*
This is a perfectly healthy young Kestrel. He CANNOT go back to the wild because someone found him and raised him from a baby. He does not know he is a wild bird.
If you are not licensed to rehab wild animals please DO NOT bring them into your home and raise them. Find a proper agency to do so.

Bird of prey rehabilitator, this little guy was confiscated from someone who had him illegally and sadly imprinted him on humans so we got all the proper paperwork to use him for education.

I rehab them so I love them a lot. Kestrels are one of the most non threatening predators to me because they're this furious little tiny ball of feathers.

I love this. He is definitely wearing the expectant expression, like a dog who wants you to desperately pick up a ball and put down your pen.

He is so cute and has such a human expression, he truly does look as if he is expecting you to drop all your work for him.
