Authur the Cute attack bird. by TornFeathers Authur the Cute attack bird. by TornFeathers
I made a journal that I got bitten my a Falcon.

THIS IS THE EVIL BIRD THAT DID IT!
Him right thar!

Arthur is such a good bird unless I have to do treatments on him. He hates me in rehab mode.
He's a good bird, a very beautiful bird.
I adored this shot so much.

He is a Prairie Falcon.

He was a cutie and a little monster who would act perfectly innocent to visitors, I miss him dearly (died of old age last year).

What an adorable evil lil' birdy!
I know exactly what he's thinking: "You want another one?!"
And i didn't know you work at a bird sanctuary! It is a sanctuary, right? >.<

It's a rehabilitation center. We rehab wild birds of prey for release back into the wild.
We do have a few permanent residents who are non-releasable birds we use for education at schools and events.

The gull we have in rehab is adorable. O.O

He won't eat anything we feed him but mice.

We didn't start getting gulls until last year, but everyone was afraid of them because of their beaks. I was the only one crazy enough to handle them for their physical thereapy!
We feed ours shad, sardines, the occasional live goldfish, and mice. Good luck with yours!

We don't normally have non-raptors but we'll take corvids and waterfowl for a local songbird rehabber who works out of her house if they need extended time or therapy.

He's doing great, flying laps in the flight cage. I believe my boss is taking her niece to release him in the mountains near a flock on Thanksgiving.
